Workshop on Work Program Preparation 2025 Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities

Yogyakarta, 6 February 2025 - The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM) held a Work Programme Development Workshop at the FISHUM Conference Room. The event was attended by faculty leaders, including Deans, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programmes, and lecturers who have a strategic role in academic and institutional development.

This workshop aims to design faculty work programmes that are in line with the vision and mission of the university, as well as strengthen synergies between units in improving the quality of academics, research, and community service. This activity started at 08.00 WIB and lasted until 16.45 WIB.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FISHUM, Dr. Erika Setyanti Kusumaputri, S.Psi., M.Si., who in her speech emphasised the importance of collaboration in developing effective and innovative work programs. Furthermore, the University Rector, Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan, S.Ag., M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., gave directions regarding the university's strategic priorities that must be considered in the preparation of the faculty work programme.

In the discussion session, Vice Rectors I, II, and III discussed the strengthening of the university's priority programmes, presenting prominent speakers such as Prof. Dr. Istiningsih, Dr. Mochamad Sodik, M.Si., and Dr. Abdur Rozaki, S.Ag., M.Si. The discussion was moderated by Dr Ambar Sari Dewi, S.Sos., M.Si., who guided the discussion on the direction of faculty development.

The next session discussed the presentation of steps, policies, and work programmes from each field in the faculty, including academic, administrative, and student affairs. The moderator in this session was Dr Astri Hanjarwati, S.Sos., M.A., who directed the discussion to produce implementable policies.

After a break, the workshop continued with the presentation of work programmes from each study programme, which included Psychology, Sociology, Communication Science, Master of Sociology, and Master of Media and Communication. This session was guided by the moderator Dwi Nur Laela Fithriya, S.IP., M.A., who ensured that each study programme could present the work plan comprehensively.

The workshop ended with a discussion and conclusion of the results of the discussion that had been carried out throughout the day. The participants are expected to implement the work programme that has been prepared to improve academic quality and make a real contribution to society.

With this workshop, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities is optimistic that it can face future academic challenges with a more structured and planned strategy. Hopefully, all work programmes that have been formulated can run effectively and contribute to institutional development and improving the quality of education in the university.
