This event aims to broaden the horizons and build academic networks between students, lecturers, and researchers at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities with experts from Queensland University. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr Erika Setyanti Kusumaputri, S.Psi, M.Psi, she also explained in her speech ‘We are very enthusiastic about this collaboration. This sharing session is not only a forum for exchanging ideas, but also opens up opportunities for students and lecturers to get involved in international research and academic programmes. This is also in line with the spirit brought by the Rector, namely Empowering Knowledge, Shaping the Future’. Besides being attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the event was also attended by Ambar Sari Dewi, PhD. who is the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Astri Hanjarwati, M.A Vice Dean of General Administration, Planning and Finance, and Vice Dean of Cooperation and Student Affairs Dr. Rama Kertamukti, M.Sn.
The theme raised in this Sharing Session was ‘Empower your Future at The University of Queensland’, which discussed an overview of studying abroad as well as preparations and tips and tricks expressed by the speakers and guided by Nisrina Muthmahari, M.A, Sociology lecturer as moderator. The speakers in this event were Nadia Sarah, M.Bus, senior principal adviser - South East Asia The University of Queensland who shared insights about studying at the University of Queensland, and Meganusa Ludvianto, M.Commun shared an overview of student life while studying in Australia. As the last speaker Nadia Awalina Bunga Massita, S.T.P., M.Sc who is an awardee of LPDP Awards gave various tips and tricks to face IELTS as the main preparation for studying abroad. The event was closed with a question and answer discussion from the participants who were enthusiastic about studying abroad.
