On Friday date 03 Juni 2022 International Office bekerjasam dengan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora menyelenggarakan Sunan Kalijaga Seminar Series (SUKA-Semar2022) seri 2 dengan topik: Education for Interfaith, Respect, and Cooperation in Peace Building di ruang Interactive Center Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora. Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh Rektor UIN Sunan Kalijaga yaitu (Prof. Dr.Phil. Al Makin, S.Ag., M.A.), Speaker from Universiteit Gottingen (Prof. Dr. Fritz Schulze Georg-August), Ketua Pusat Moderasi Beragama dan Kebhinnekaan (PMBK) UIN Sunan Kalijaga (Dr. Waryani Fajar R, S.H.I., M.A.) take part in the event.

Q: What is the rule of education in the peace process?

A: The anwer is we can’t only have a look in just one side and we have to realize that minority have the same right as majority.

Q: What should we do as the academics to create peace?

A: The freedom of academic speech and research, we have to criticize them. Encouraging to action and to implement the ideas.

Q: Bagaimana pandangan pribadi apakah memang ada orang yang betul-betul tidak memiliki iman?

A: Setiap manusia memiliki iman, karena dia memiliki ruh. namun yang membedakan adalah ia memakai iman tersebut atau tidak atau dengan kata lain bukan “the true faith”
