YOGYAKARTA – A vibrant atmosphere filled with enthusiasm marked the Fun Walk held in celebration of the 20th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The event, which commenced at 06:00 AM WIB at the University Polyclinic grounds, drew hundreds of participants, including the academic community, students, lecturers, administrative staff, and invited guests from various faculties across the university.

The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Rector I and Vice Rector III of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Their attendance added to the festive spirit and symbolized the university leadership's strong support for fostering traditions of togetherness, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle within the academic community.

In their remarks, the university leadership representatives lauded FISHUM’s initiative in organizing an activity that goes beyond promoting physical health to also strengthening cross-faculty solidarity. They noted that the faculty’s two-decade milestone is an opportune moment to reinforce its role in building an academic community that is healthy, empowered, and character-driven.

The Fun Walk route was filled with cheer and warm interaction among community members, transforming the event into more than just a collective exercise. Excitement peaked as participants awaited the drawing of door prizes, which ranged from household appliances and bicycles to grand prizes including gold bars and a motorcycle.

The active participation of the academic community and guests from various faculties highlighted the spirit of unity that is the hallmark of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Beyond being a sporting event, this Fun Walk served as a forum for networking across generations and disciplines. It also provided a moment of reflection on FISHUM’s twenty-year journey, reaffirming its commitment to the vision of being "Empowered, Productive, and Meaningful" (Berdaya, Berkarya, Bermakna).

Filled with camaraderie and enthusiasm, the Fun Walk stands as a highlight of the FISHUM 20th Anniversary celebrations.
