The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, through its Psychology Study Program, organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled Preparation of the BAN-PT Accreditation Report on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Multimedia Room, 1st Floor of FISHUM. This activity constitutes a strategic initiative to enhance the institution’s readiness for the national accreditation process based on the latest quality standards.

The FGD featured Prof. Ir. Dwi Agustina Kurniawati, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., IPM, ASEAN Eng. (Prof. Nanis) as the keynote speaker, who currently serves as the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Her contribution provided substantive insights into the preparation of accreditation documents, emphasizing that the process extends beyond administrative compliance to encompass a comprehensive quality assurance system, key performance indicators, and sustainable quality assurance practices in higher education.

The event was attended by lecturers, professors, and administrative staff within FISHUM. The discussion focused on optimizing the substance of the accreditation report, ensuring the consistency of supporting data, and developing strategies to effectively articulate the study program’s distinctive strengths within the BAN-PT assessment framework.

During the session, Prof. Nanis highlighted that the preparation of accreditation documents should not be perceived merely as a procedural requirement, but rather as a reflection of systematically implemented and measurable quality practices. An evidence-based approach, along with program sustainability, was emphasized as a critical factor in achieving optimal accreditation outcomes.

The Head of the Psychology Study Program, Denisa Apriliawati, M.Res., stated that this initiative serves as part of an internal consolidation process to ensure that all elements within the study program share a common understanding of development directions and established quality standards. She further underscored the importance of cross-academic collaboration in the preparation process to accurately represent the institution’s actual achievements.

Through this activity, FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta reaffirms its commitment to fostering a sustainable quality culture while strengthening the study program’s position within the national higher education landscape through an accreditation process that is credible, transparent, and accountable.
