The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, organized the Workshop on the Formulation and Review of the 2026 Work Programs on May 4–5, 2026, at Jade Room, Eastparc Hotel Yogyakarta . The event was officially opened by the Dean of FISHUM, Prof. Dr. Erika Setyanti Kusumaputri, who emphasized the importance of strengthening faculty performance as a central foundation for achieving the institution’s vision and mission.

- Head of the Faculty Administrative Office,
- Coordinators and heads of research and study centers,
- FISHUM Accreditation Task Force members,
- International Undergraduate Program (IUP) team,
- Laboratory heads and managers,
- Academic journal managers (Editors-in-Chief and editorial teams),
- As well as administrative and academic support staff across faculty units
In her opening remarks, the Dean underlined that the formulation and review of work programs should not be treated as routine administrative exercises, but rather as strategic processes aimed at building a more effective, integrated, and performance-oriented system of governance. Strengthening faculty performance, she noted, requires clarity of program direction, consistency in implementation, and the capacity of each unit to translate institutional vision into concrete and measurable initiatives.
Furthermore, the Dean highlighted the urgency of fostering synergy across all units within FISHUM, including study programs, research centers, and supporting units. She stressed that future challenges demand a collaborative and interconnected working model, ensuring that each program contributes meaningfully to overall faculty performance rather than operating in isolation.
The workshop was also designed as an evaluative platform through a structured review of the proposed work program drafts. By involving faculty leaders, academic staff, and administrative personnel, the event functioned as a forum for institutional consolidation identifying strengths, addressing gaps, and exploring opportunities for future program development .
The entire FISHUM academic community (civitas academica) participated enthusiastically, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening governance and improving institutional performance. Active engagement in discussions and presentations demonstrated a collective awareness that the quality of planning directly shapes the effectiveness of implementation.
Through this workshop, FISHUM reaffirms its strategic commitment to building a more robust, adaptive, and impact-oriented system of work. The emphasis on strengthening faculty performance, articulated from the opening session, is expected to serve as a foundation for developing innovative, relevant, and sustainable programs in the years ahead.
